Details for translators
This is the deal
You provide us with your translation, and we will provide you with a copy of CMS Website for Artists. This means that we trade our business for yours and visa versa. So neither of us has to pay and we will both improve!
Note that domain registration and hosting are not included.
Translators version of CMS Website for Artists
We are currently developing a special version of CMS Website for Artists. If you are and NOT a visual artists, you would probably prefer to have an introduction text as front page. The translators version will allow just that! Using your control panel, you could choose whether the front page will appear as an editable text page or as a page showing a (random) image.
Steps by step
We will send you the text to be translated as a spreadsheet, so you can see what its all about. See the notes on the spreadsheet below.
After you have finished and issued your translation, we will add it to the CMS Website for Artists template an run a few tests.
Then we will install your copy of CMS Website for Artists and its control panel on a domain of your choice. Your website now carries your own translation!
You could perform a final check on your translation and make small adjustments if necessary. In that case we will update your copy of the website once more.
About installing your website
In order to install your copy of CMS Website for Artists we will need the FTP-data that belong to your domain. Without these data we cannot install your website. (What are FTP-data?)
Since you will become an owner of your copy of a CMS Website for Artists, we would like you to agree with the terms and conditions concerning the website, like any other owner.
Do not forget to fill in the form!
Please fill in and send us the special translators form, to let us know that you agree with the conditions mentioned earlier. The form enables you to sent your FTP data as well.
If you do not have your FTP data yet, please fill in some spaces in order to have it sent. Note that you can send the FTP data in a later.
Notes on the spreadsheet that we send you
Put your translations in the column of the spreadsheet that carries the name of your language;
Translate every rule, one by one;
Do not ad new lines in the spreadsheet;
Do not remove empty lines from the spreadsheet;
Do not change the order of the lines in the spreadsheet;
In most cases we do not want a sentence to start with a Uppercase, nor ending it with a dot; You will encounter some exceptions to this rule! Please copy exactly.
